Next Economy Award
On 7 December 2017 Martin Aufmuth was awarded the renowned Next Economy Award in Düsseldorf. The prize was presented by former international soccer player Philipp Lahm. The prize was awarded by the German Sustainability Award Foundation in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy, the German Council for Sustainable Development and the German Association of Chambers of Industry and Commerce.

Bavarian State Medal
On 23 June 2017, Martin Aufmuth received the Bavarian State Medal for Social Merit for his commitment with OneDollarGlasses.

Hopkins Leadership Award 2016 of the Optical Society of America
In July 2016, One-DollarGlasses received the Robert-E. Hopkins Leadership Award 2016 from the renowned Optical Society (OSA). With more than 19,000 members in over 100 countries, the Optical Society is the leading association in the field of optics and photonics. This was the first time that OneDollarGlasses were recognized as groundbreaking from a scientific point of view.

Tech Award
On November 11, 2015, OneDollarGlasses received the renowned Tech Award in San Jose (California, USA).
 
Empowering People Award
On October 30, 2013, OneDollarGlasses won the Empowering People Award! The Siemens foundation awarded Martin Aufmuth with the 1. Prize in Nairobi. More than 800 organisations and individuals from all over the world competed for the prize, which is endowed with 50.000 Euro. The contest honors technical innovations which contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of people in developing countries in a sustainable way.
 
Special Award "Gesundheit und Medizin in Erlangen e.V." (Health and Medical Science)
On October 22, 2014, Martin Aufmuth received the Special Award of the association "Gesundheit und Medizin in Erlangen e.V." . The association honored his special achievements inventing the OneDollarGlasses and therefore accommodating the visually handicapped in developing countries.
