Manufacturing of Glasses in China
In the spring of 2015 our representative for the manufacture of eyeglasses, Jonas Chen, travelled to China to get an impression of the production on site.
In the picture you can see some of the young employees of our associated company. In spite of icy working temperatures of around 8 degrees Celsius (there is no heating in the south of China) there is lots of laughter and telling stories during work. The working atmosphere is cheerful and familiar.
All employees are at least 18 years of age. They work 8 hours a day and are off on 2 days per week. Their salary varies depending on their seniority and moves within the range of the average Chinese income (which was 6560 US-Dollar in 2013).
