Rwanda

Rwanda is a very densely populated, small country in East Africa. Because of its hilly landscape, it is also called the "land of a thousand hills". Rwanda still suffers from the effects of the 1994 genocide, many people are traumatized.
The people in the rural areas of Rwanda are usually very poor. Most of them do not have access to eyeglasses at all. At a population of  11.4 million inhabitants, there are currently only 11 ophthalmologists.
